LIVING with PRESENCE:
an ONLINE 4-day (spans 5 days)
Mindfulness, Breath and Qi Gong Retreat
(none scheduled so far for 2024)

THis 4-day on line retreat programme is designed to help draw you closer to your inherent nature, and to support the well being of your body, mind and spirit. We 'meet' on ZOOM twice daily for 75 minutes, and in between, there is a programme of mindfulness practice for you to follow, with links to mindfulness practices, breathing practices,  qi gong movements and awareness through movement sessions.

Fee: $100 registration fee plus DANA* for Rachel

* Dana means generosity. A person pays, at the end of the retreat, an amount that they feel honours the instruction and inspiration they have received.

Please note: this retreat is best suited for those with at least a little experience of mindfulness practice,, but is fine for beginners to qi gong and breath practice.

Learn and practise tracking your nervous system, and the art of down-regulating …

Strengthen your awareness practice …

Learn how to keep ‘coming home’ to yourself as you move, work and communicate in the world …

Experience a daily rhythm of practice that will support your health, happiness and ability to centre yourself in the midst of uncertainty …

Join me for this opportunity to take time, just for yourself, to settle into the silence, focus and centredness that a retreat programme offers, and to listen to the innate wisdom of your own heart.

Please note: This retreat will require you to be living in a situation in which you can take some time each day for yourself. You can do as much or as little of the programme as you wish, although the more you are able to engage with the programme, the more benefit you will receive.

Please check, before you enrol, that you are able to:

  • Participate in the scheduled ZOOM meetings each day

  • Put time aside for daily mindfulness practices in a place where you won’t be disturbed

  • Turn off your screens/devices after dark

People can book a 1:1 private session during or after the retreat (this will involve a set fee extra to the retreat).

“Rachel’s online retreat was like being thrown a lifeline! At a time during the second Level 4 lockdown, the ‘Practice of Presence’ was packed with a goodness designed for body, mind and soul. Qi Gong group practice, Wlm Hof breathing exercises, a plethora of Yoga Nidra practices and daily optional ocean swims quickly followed by cold showers were all on Rachel’s #theartofmindfulness’ human kindness menu. If you asked me if I would recommend this course and other courses up for grabs during 2021 & into 2022, I’d say, face the fear and do it anyway! I promise you will not regret one moment. I feel relaxed. I breathe easier. And my body feels, well… easy like Sunday morning! Recommended? Oh yes! 👍🏿”

“I was drawn to this retreat because teaching was delivered to my home via Zoom. Rachel is a wise empathetic teacher, open to responding to the needs & inquiry of the group. It was like being at a smorgasbord for the mind. I loved the teachings, the options, the learnings, the resources, the structure offered if that was my thing, and the flexibility if it wasn’t. The format allowed me to follow my own path. The energy of the group came through clearly, even over Zoom. The retreat delivered so much for me, opening my mind to healthful practices, gentle observation and acceptance”.

"I thoroughly enjoyed this (online retreat). It was just awesome being able to do the exercises and meditations in my own time - no talking, no people etc. it truly was wonderful for me.  Because it was set aside in the diary - it was structured - and had Rachel’s lovely guidance, it was divine’

"This was my first time joining an online retreat. It was a valuable experience in supporting me to deepen my commitment to my own practice. I felt connected to the group and safe in the way Rachel held space for each of us to show up in the moment as our true selves. I particularly enjoyed the Qi Gong movement practices as a wonderful way to start my day. As a mother of young children and working from home I found this online retreat offered the flexibility I needed to make space for myself and also to tend to my family's needs. I left feeling refreshed and inspired. Thank you so much Rachel. "
